आकाश (space)
is a fundamental creation of God. Some thing need space to reside!
It could be inter molecular space,
it could be the sky, it could be space in programming context. The word is itself
"void" to explain.
This universe consists of two types of material - living material (~चित्-पदार्थ) &
non-living material(~जड़ पदार्थ). Modern science explains the model of
non-living material. (With non-living material, I mean
with those are made of atoms or molecules)
But what our
ancient books are about to explain the model of चित् and जड़ material both. चित्
material also need space to reside.
To understand
the word "space" (आकाश) we can see the model of computer programming
execution that defines kernel- space, user - space to execute program
instructions. Have we ever thought the word "space" as "आकाश"
here?
We are
defined as three layered architecture model. We are made of three bodies, each
resides in each space (भू, चित्, चिदा) correspondingly.
- Top layer, we say it - भू आकाश (physical world) where our physical body (भौतिक शरीर) resides in.
- Middle layer, we say it - चित् आकाश (inner world) where our सूक्ष्म शरीर resides in.सूक्ष्म शरीर- is our inner body whose wrapper is physical body. It consists of मन, बुद्धि, इंद्रिया etc. Detailed ref. is given in गीता.
- Most inner layer, we say it- चिदा आकाश- where our soul resides in. सूक्ष्म शरीर is a wrapper over the soul.
Soul can't be destroyed by 4 elements, but the 5th element "space" is not mentioned. because soul need space to reside. this space is चिदा आकाश for the soul.
Similar way supreme soul is also dispersed in the space (चिदा आकाश).
